Six years on from the merger of of local volunteer centres and the Volunteer Development Agency to create Volunteer Now Dr Brendan Murtagh from Queens University follows up his 2012 report on the merger and looks at what has happened within Volunteer Now and how volunteering is supported. He idenitfies five strategic and ten specific effects of the merger and draws lessons that have wider implications for collaborative working and policy support in Northern Ireland.
